About Event Leader - Jim Manley

Jim Manley is a consulting associate with Mastermind Consulting Network, a team of professionals dedicated to helping organizations understand and apply lean thinking to their business processes.

Jim received his Bachelor of Science from Eastern Michigan University in Industrial Technology and Statistical Process Control, and his graduate work at Michigan State University. He has been an adjunct faculty member at both universities, teaching undergraduate and graduate students about lean principles (manufacturing, supply chains, logistics, and quality control). Starting his career with General Motors as an hourly team member, Jim was promoted and eventually retired as the Delphi Corporate Manager for Global Lean Supply Chains.

Jim had the opportunity to study with Dr. Deming and complete a management training program with Toyota at NUMMI. He has implemented lean systems for GM, Delphi, and others in 29 different countries, and has been coached by retired Toyota executives.
